SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Daqing Refining & Chemicals shut its new 300,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant in Heilongjiang province on 20 December for about one month of regular maintenance, a source close to the company said on Thursday.
It is unlikely that the PP plant’s shutdown will have significant impact on the market because current supply is ample, according to market sources.
Daqing Refining & Chemicals has another existing 300,000 tonne/year PP plant at the same site, which is operating at full capacity, the company source said.
