LONDON (ICIS)--Repsol’s cracker at Tarragona in Spain has successfully restarted and is running normally, a company spokesman said on Thursday.
A source close to the company had said on 30 December that the cracker had been restarted but had not yet achieved on-spec output.
The cracker, which has the capacity to produce 702,000 tonnes/year of ethylene has been on planned maintenance since early October.
Restart had been slated for 25 November but a series of technical issues had delayed the cracker’s start up until now.
