South Korea's LG Chem to shut Daesan MTBE unit in Mar

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s LG Chem plans to shut its 180,000 tonne/year methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) plant in Daesan in March for a five-day long catalyst regeneration, a company source said on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the unit is running at full tilt, the source said.

The company supplies typically to the domestic market.
