HOUSTON (ICIS)--Magellan Midstream has reopened its open season solicitation for capacity commitments to transport refined petroleum products to Little Rock, Arkansas, the US logistics company announced on Thursday.
Binding commitments are due by 17:00 local time (23:00 GMT) 16 January.
The pipeline would transport up to 75,000 bbl/day of gasoline, diesel fuel and jet fuel from Magellan’s terminal in Fort Smith, Arkansas, about 160 miles to Little Rock, giving the state capital access to refined products from Midwest and Gulf Coast refineries, the company said.
If the open season garners sufficient interest and subsequent permits and regulatory approvals are obtained, the pipeline could be operational by the third quarter of 2015, Magellan said.
