LONDON (ICIS)--Production from industry, construction, energy and mining in Germany rose 1.9% in November from October, with production in the country’s chemicals and pharmaceuticals industry also rising, according to statistical reports released on Thursday.

The increase came after a 1.2% decrease in production in October from September.

Germany’s economics ministry said that November industrial production rose 3.1% from October. However, output in building and construction fell 1.7%.

On a two-month sequential comparison - October-November against August-September - productive output was down 0.7%, with industrial production down 0.1%. Compared with October-November 2012, productive output was up 2.2% year over year, with industrial production up 3.1%.

Overall production prospects remain positive in Germany, the ministry added, pointing to increased industrial orders in November.
