HOUSTON (ICIS)--PPG Industries has named Kevin McDonald as vice president, fibre glass, effective on 1 March, the US-based producer said on Friday.

McDonald will succeed Thomas Kerr, who is retiring, PPG said.

McDonald joined the company in 1980, moving through sales and marketing roles in the fibre-glass business to become director of sales, North America, for the segment in 1995. He became director of ZebraLink in 1999.

McDonald spent the next five years as PPG’s general credit manager before becoming the company’s director of government sales.

He then returned to the fibre-glass business in his current role.

In addition to fibre glass, PPG also produces paints and coatings.
