MELBOURNE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Chang Chun Plastics plans to shut its phenol/acetone plant in Kaohsiung in mid-February for maintenance, market sources said on Thursday.
The producer plans to shut the plant, which can produce 300,000 tonnes/year of phenol and 186,000 tonnes/year of acetone, for about a month, the sources added.
Chang Chun Plastics operates a second phenol/acetone plant at Changshu in China’s Jiangsu province.
Its Changshu plant, which was commissioned in August 2013, can produce 300,000 tonnes/year of phenol and 185,000 tonnes/year of acetone.
