EU PG imports and exports fall year on year in November

LONDON (ICIS)--Imports and exports of propylene glycol (PG) into and from the EU fell significantly year on year in November 2013 compared with the same month in 2012, data from statistics agency Eurostat showed on Tuesday.

Imports slumped by 38% to 1,873 tonnes while exports were down by 14% to 4,124 tonnes.

Eurostat data for PG include monopropylene glycol (MPG) and propylene glycol ethers. However, the agency was unable to specify which other derivatives are included under this heading.

Eurostat import/export data are subject to revision as more detailed information become available.
