HOUSTON (ICIS)--LyondellBasell US subsidiaries Lyondell Chemical and Equistar Chemicals are seeking an increase in the list and off-list selling price of diethylene glycol monobutyl ether (DB), the company announced on Thursday.

The company is looking for a 10 cents/lb ($220/tonne) increase on the off-list price and a new list price of $2.02/lb, effective 15 February or as contracts allow.

The price increase is accompanied by a strict 100% order control based on average orders for the last six months.

Earlier this month, LyondellBasell announced a 3 cent/lb increase on DB, effective 1 February, with list price for the material at $1.74/lb.

Currently, the ICIS-assessed contract price range for DB is 100-102 cents/lb.
