NEW YORK (ICIS)--Huntsman's Port Neches ethylene oxide (EO) unit in Texas was shut down because of a mechanical failure that led to a leak of the material as well as water from a column, according to a regulatory filing made on Friday.

EO unit F6 was shut down throughout much of the day, with crews working to get the unit back in service by some time late in the day, according to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
