SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sichuan Petrochemical plans to start up its 800,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker at Pengzhou in Sichuan province in March, a source close to the company said on Monday.

The company commissioned its refinery at the same site on 10 January, the source added.

Meanwhile, it is not known when the derivative polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) plants at the same site will be started up.

The derivative plants include a 300,000 tonne/year linear low density PE (LLDPE) plant, a 300,000 tonne/year high density PE (HDPE) plant and a 450,000 tonne/year PP plant.
