LONDON (ICIS)--The unspecified mechanical failure that caused production problems at Dow’s polyols plant in Terneuzen, the Netherlands, has not yet been resolved, a company source said Tuesday.

All our assets are running well except flex slab in [Terneuzen] which is [still] running at [a] reduced rate,” the company source said.

Buyers said that, although some initially received postponement notices for deliveries, it is now business as usual and there has been minimal impact on the market.

“[My cargo] was delivered by Dow at the end of last week and [we] can place orders normally now,” a buyer said.

The flexible polyols monthly contract price for January rolled over from December at €1,760-1,830/tonne FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe).
