Japan’s Tosoh Corp plans caustic soda turnarounds in March, June

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Tosoh Corp plans to shut down all two of its caustic soda plants separately for maintenance in March and June, according to a company source on Wednesday.

The source said the caustic soda plant in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture, is scheduled to be shut down from March to April. It has a nameplate capacity of 184,000 dry metric tonnes/year.

The source added that the group's caustic soda plant in Nanyo, Yamaguchi Prefecture, which has a nameplate capacity of 1.125m dry metric tonnes/year, is scheduled to be shut down from May to June.
