S Korea’s Hanwha to shut Yeosu VCM plant in Mar; Ulsan unit in Nov

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Hanwha Chemical plans to shut down its 360,000 tonne/year VCM plant vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) plant in Yeosu in March for two weeks of maintenance, a company source said on Thursday.

In Ulsan, its smaller VCM unit with a 250,000 tonne/year capacity is due for a 20-day turnaround in November, the source said.
