SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Linde has signed a long-term contract to supply hydrogen to Nynas’ refinery in Hamburg, Germany on site, the technological engineering major said on Friday.
Nynas is a Swedish base oils producer.
Linde will invest around €30m to will build a steam methane reformer plant at the refinery site in Hamburg, the German company said in a statement.
The new hydrogen facility with a 400,000 cubic metre/day capacity is scheduled to come on stream in the fourth quarter of 2015, it said.
The facility will also be able to also supply other hydrogen customers in the Hamburg harbour area, Linde said.
Linde will supply Nynas with natural gas from its liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal near Stockholm.
