SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Daqing Refining & Chemical plans to restart its 300,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant in Heilongjiang province this weekend, a source close the company said on Thursday.
This plant was shut at the end of January because of feedstock shortage, the source added.
According to market sources, the restart of this plant will dampen market confidence as local supply is abundant currently.
The company has another 300,000 tonne/year PP plant at the same site, and it is operating at full rate, the source said.
