South Korea's LG Chem on track to shut Daesan BPA plant

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s LG Chem has begun preparations for the shutdown of its bisphenol A (BPA) plant in Daesan for a turnaround, and will begin the shutdown in the evening of 15 February, a company source said on Friday.

The 150,000 tonne/year plant is expected to be off line from 16 February until the end of March, the source added.

The plant is currently running at 70% capacity.
