SINGAPORE (ICIS)--India’s Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) will shut its benzene plant at Jamnagar in Gujarat state from March to April for a month-long scheduled turnaround, a source familiar with the matter said on Friday.
The unit is able to produce 480,000-520,000 tonnes/year of benzene, the source said.
The maintenance of the facility is in line with the shutdown of the 600,000 tonne/year paraxylene (PX) line from second-half of March.
