SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sichuan Petrochemical achieved on-spec production at its 450,000 tonne/year new polypropylene (PP) plant in Sichuan province on 5 March, a company source said on Friday.
The company started up the plant on 25 February, and it is producing raffia yarn currently, the source added.
The company also started up a 300,000 tonne/year linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) plant and a 300,000 tonne/year high density polyethylene (HDPE) plant at the same site.
It was expected that on-spec PE can also be produced in March at its new PE plants, the source said.
