LONDON (ICIS)--The March European styrene customer reference price has been settled at €1,378/tonne, down €57/tonne from the previous month, the producer involved confirmed on Friday.

The €57/tonne reduction was in line with the barge contract this month.

Softer raw material costs and a weak spot market have weighed down on styrene, although sources expect demand to begin to pick up into April.

The styrene CRP was agreed on a free carrier (FCA) Rotterdam basis.
