HOUSTON (ICIS)--Shipments totalling 50,000 tonnes of methanol from southeast Asia will be coming to the US in late April, sources said on Friday.

Methanol sources said the shipments were chartered by traders Tricon and Kolmar, though there were no other details.

The shipments highlight the often large gap between spot methanol prices in the two regions, which reached a five-year high last year before the window closed.
