SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea's LG Chem is running its two crackers at full capacity at present, said a source familiar with the situation on Thursday.

LG Chem operates a 1m tonne/year cracker in Yeosu and a 940,000 tonne/year cracker in Daesan.

Meanwhile, the crackers are using liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as partial feed, the trader said.

LG Chem planned to take its 1m tonne/year cracker in Yeosu off line in November this year. The cracker will undergo regular maintenance for a month.
