Representatives from the Brazilian Association of Chemical Distributors (Associquim) and the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) convened in Florida, in the US, last November to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) pledging to accept one other’s Responsible Distribution third party verification requirements if members in good standing wanted to join the other association. They also discussed how best they could work together in future and share best practice.
The MoU, signed at the NACD’s 42nd Annual Meeting in Marco Island, formally recognized the strengths and harmonization of the Responsible Distribution process in both Countries.
PRODIR – Responsible Distribution – is a mandatory condition of membership of Associquim and the implementation of the programme is subject to third-party verification . This ensures that members continuously improve performance in the areas of environment, health, safety and security.
