SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Datang International Power Generation Co is running its 250,000 tonne/year No 1 polypropylene (PP) line, located in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, at 60% capacity, after restarting it on 19 March from a 9-day turnaround, a company source said on Tuesday.
The line is currently producing PP raffia yarn, the source added.
The company also operates at the same site a 250,000 tonne/year No 2 PP line. The No 2 line was shut on 30 January and the restart date has yet to be confirmed, the source said.
Traders in northern China said that the restart of the company’s No 1 PP line is not expected to have a significant impact on the PP market given its lowered operating rate.
