US MDI prices assessed up by 6 cents/lb for Q1

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Methyl di-p-phenylene isocyanate (MDI) prices are assessed by ICIS up by 4 cents/lb on Wednesday, in addition to the 2 cent/lb hike assessed earlier this month, totalling 6 cent/lb for the first quarter.

Although as much as a 10 cent/lb hike initiative was heard, buyers were heard settling increases mostly in a 5-7 cent/lb range.

Crude MDI prices are assessed at 139-154 cents/lb DEL (delivered) in bulk.

US MDI producers are BASF, Bayer, Dow and Huntsman.
