Clariant opens new mining chemicals lab in India

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Clariant has opened a new mining chemicals laboratory at Roha in India’s Maharashtra state, the Switzerland headquartered specialty chemicals major said on Tuesday.

Clariant said that that the laboratory was designed to suit "the unique requirements of Indian ores and address the challenges operators face in the recovery of fine mineral grains at various grades."

Clariant invested Indian rupees (Rs)10m ($164,000) in the Roha lab. Clariant’s global oil and mining chemicals business in based in Houston.
