EU Feb AA and its esters imports up, exports down year on year

LONDON (ICIS)--Imports of acrylic acid (AA) and its esters into the EU from the rest of the world rose by 19% year on year in February, while exports fell, data from European statistics agency Eurostat showed this week.

February 2014 imports amounted to 623 tonnes, compared with 521 tonnes in the same month in 2013.

Exports from the EU were down 31% year on year in February at 2,715 tonnes, compared with 3,942 tonnes in February 2013.
