LONDON (ICIS)--The April dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) reference price dropped by €13/tonne compared with March on Friday, in line with upstream developments.

According to ICIS calculations this brings April DMT to €844-885/tonne FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe).

Paraxylene (PX), DMT’s primary feedstock rolled over, but as calculations used for DMT are according to the greatest move, DMT follows methanol’s decrease for the second quarter.

Methanol, DMT’s secondary feedstock, decreased by €33/tonne to €412/tonne FOB (free on board) Rotterdam from the first to the second quarter.
