Iran’s Fanavaran offers 20,000 tonnes methanol to India, China

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Iran’s Fanavaran Petrochemical has issued a tender to sell 10,000 tonnes of methanol for loading between 20-25 May to customers in China, a company source said on late Thursday. The bids have to be submitted by 17 May.

The payment terms are on TT (telegraphic transfer) of 30 days and 20% advance payment in cash, the source added.

Fanavaran Petrochemical has also issued a separate tender to sell 10,000 tonnes of methanol to customers in west coast India, for loading at the end of May.

According to the source, it has not received any bids yet from market players in India, but it was expecting to sell on a premium basis of 7.5% to ICIS published CFR West Coast India price.

The payment terms are on TT of 30 days or cash payment at discharge, the source added.
