SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Toray Plastics Malaysia plans to conduct turnaround at two of its acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) lines in November, a source close to the company said.

The company operates six ABS lines at Prai, Penang, with a total output of 330,000 tonnes/year.

The maintenance involves the 40,000 tonne/year transparent ABS line and the 70,000 tonne/year regular ABS line.

“The shutdown is expected to last for around three weeks,” the source added.

Other ABS producers in southeast Asia includes Integrated Refinery and Petrochemical Complex (IRPC) and Styrolution in Thailand.
