LONDON (ICIS)--European butyl acrylate (butyl-A) spot prices have decreased by €10-30/tonne, amid steady demand in a well-supplied market, sources said on Wednesday.
Prices are at €1,470-1,520/tonne FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe).
Sources described the butyl-A market as “oversupplied” and said that prices are under downward pressure.
Material was talked in the low €1,400s/tonne FD, but there was insufficient confirmation in the market to support prices at this level.
One seller said European and imported material was contributing to the length in the sector.
Butyl acrylate is used in the manufacture of paints and coatings.
