Daniel M. Bradbury
Daniel M. Bradbury has been named chief operating officer at
Amylin Phar-maceuticals Inc. Mr. Bradbury has been with the company
since 1994, most recently as vice president. He will have expanded
responsibilities for the research, development and clinical
ca-pabilities of the company.
Barry Brandstetter
Barry Brandstetter has been named vice president of marketing at
Xanodyne Pharmacal Inc. He has nearly 30 years of pharmaceutical
experience. Most recently, Mr. Brandstetter was executive vice
president of Gerbig, Snell/Weisheimer, a large health care
advertising and marketing communications company.
Tatiana Brask
Tatiana Brask has joined Genmab A/S's investor and public
relations team effective July 1. Ms. Brask has a broad background
in the international financial community. Most recently, she worked
as a senior analyst at the European investment bank WestLB Panmure
with responsibility for covering Nordic pharmaceutical companies as
well as Genmab.
Ruth Dreessen
Ruth Dreessen has been appointed senior vice president, chief
financial officer and a member of the advisory board of Westlake
Group. She will assume overall responsibility for the finance,
treasury, credit, insurance accounting and strategic planning
activities of the company. Ms. Dreessen is a financial executive
with experience in investment banking, corporate finance and
mergers and acquisitions for a variety of industries.
Brent Fenton
Brent Fenton has been named vice president of North American
oilseed processing at Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM). He will
be responsible for cottonseed crushing, canola seed crushing and
Southern Cellulose Pro-ducts Inc., a subsidiary of ADM. Mr. Fenton
joined the company in 1992.
Ginger L. Graham
Ginger L. Graham has been named president and CEO of Amylin
Pharma-ceuticals Inc. effective September 1. Recently, Ms. Graham
worked with Guidant Corp., where she was group chairman, office of
the president. Dur-ing her seven-year tenure on Amylin's board of
directors, Ms. Graham has chaired the audit committee and recently
led a board-level strategic review of commercial plans for
Symlin.
Steven P. James
Steven P. James has been appointed senior vice president of
commercial operations at Exelixis Inc. He will be responsible for
managing and expanding the company's business development and
corporate development activities, and developing a strategy for
precommercial and commercial operations. Mr. James has more than 20
years of biotechnology and pharmaceutical experience. He joins
Exelixis from Sunesis Pharmaceuticals, where he served as chief
business officer.
Juan Tobias Leon
Juan Tobias Leon has been appointed group leader for industrial
products at Dexter Chemical LLC. He will lead the development of
new formulations for its phosphate ester surfactants in
architectural paint and industrial coatings formulations. Prior to
joining the company, Mr. Leon was a senior chemist for Behr Process
Corp.
Mike Livergood
Mike Livergood has been named vice president of North American
oilseed processing at Archer Daniels Midland Company. He will be
re-sponsible for sunflower seed and flaxseed crushing. Mr.
Livergood will continue to be responsible for the specialty oils
division. He joined the company in 1975.
Frank Luppino
Frank Luppino has been promoted to vice president of operations
at Anika Therapeutics Inc. Prior to joining the company, Mr.
Luppino was regional manager for ACC Consulting Group.
Wayne A. Marasco
Wayne A. Marasco has been elected to the board of directors of
Corniche Group Inc. Dr. Marasco has more than 20 years of
experience in academic and immunological research. He is a board
certified physician specializing in the treatment of
immunocompromised and HIV-1 infected patients.
Lawrence Mitchell
Lawrence Mitchell has been promoted to president of NineSigma
Inc. Mr. Mitch-ell has more than 35 years of technical and general
management experience. He will focus on accelerating the company's
sales growth by creating strategic alli-ances with key customers.
Prior to joining NineSigma, Mr. Mitchell was vice president and
general manager of the engineered coatings division of Avery
Dennsion's Concord, Ohio, operations.
Robert Monaghan
Robert Monaghan has joined the board of directors and been
appointed CEO of Zyomyx Inc. He will be responsible for overseeing
the ongoing development and commercialization of the company's
protein profiling biochip system and protein biochips for
pharmaceutical, biotechnology and academic customers. Mr. Monaghan
has 25 years of product commercialization ex-perience and industry
leadership. Most recently, he served as president of Sigma
Diagnostics and its subsidiaries.
Charles Sweeney
Charles Sweeney has been appointed senior vice president,
commercial operations for Southwest operations in Houston at Foster
Wheeler USA Corp., a subsidiary of Foster Wheeler Ltd. Mr. Sweeney
has 23 years of experience in the industry, 13 of which have been
with Foster Wheeler.
Antonius J. Theunissen
Antonius J. Theunissen has been appointed president of Dyneon
LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of 3M. Mr. Theunissen comes to
Dyneon from his most recent assignment as managing director of 3M
Brazil. He has nearly 30 years of experience at 3M, including
assignments in technology development, manufacturing and
international business management.
