Qafco to shut No 1 unit for annual maintenance

LONDON (ICIS news)--Urea producer Qatar Fertilizer Company (Qafco) will shut its No 1 unit for annual maintenance in November, a company source said on Tuesday.

 

The routine closure will start on 2 November, lasting to the end of the month.

 

The unit, based at Mesaieed, has a capacity of around 450,000 tonnes/year of prilled urea.

 

Qafco has four urea facilities in Mesaieed, with a total capacity of around 2.5m tonnes/year.
