Indorama to restart Thailand PTA on 20 October

Kunming, CHINA (ICIS news)--Indorama Petrochem will restart its 700,000 tonne/year purified terephthalic acid (PTA) in Thailand this Saturday after a five-day downtime, a company source said on Thursday.

“There was some small mechanical problem, so we need to carry out some work,” said the source, who added that the plant was shut on Tuesday.

Indorama’s plant is located in central Thailand’s Mab Ta Phut.

The company is part of the India-based Indorama group.
