SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--BASF-YPC kept acrylic ester prices steady amid light trading on Wednesday, the first trading day after the Chinese New Year, market players said.
Butyl acrylate and methyl acrylate stood at yuan (CNY) 14,900/tonne ($2,072/tonne) and CNY12,200/tonne DEL (delivered) respectively, unchanged from their pre-holiday levels.
Prices are expected to remain stable for a few more days as some downstream plants have not resumed normal operations, they added.
Located at Nanjing in eastern Jiangsu province, BASF-YPC is the main acrylic esters producer in eastern China.
