SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Taiwan Prosperity Chemical Corp (TPCC) has restarted its 80,000 tonne/year bisphenol-A (BPA) facility in Kaohsiung after a three-week scheduled turnaround, a company official said on Thursday.
“The plant was restarted around Tuesday or Wednesday,” the official said in Mandarin, although he added that there would be few April spot shipments for sale to the key China market as they had to clear their backlog of orders.
No other shutdowns are scheduled for this year, he said.
Other BPA majors in the region include Nan Ya Plastics, LG Chem, Mitsubishi Chemicals and Mitsui Chemicals.
