SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Lanzhou Petrochemical, a PetroChina subsidiary, will restart its new aromatics plant over the weekend after completing a turnaround to fix mechanical faults, a company source said on Friday.
The 400,000 tonne/year benzene, toluene and mixed xylenes (BTX) unit at Lanzhou, Gansu province, was brought on stream in the middle of last year, but its operations had been unstable due to mechanical problems.
Lanzhou Petrochemical also has another 50,000 tonne/year BTX unit at the same site.
