SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--China’s export orders for garments declined by 24.4% at the recently-concluded China Import and Export Fair, recently released on the website of the country’s Commerce Ministry showed.

The last edition of the China Import and Export Fair which is also known as the Canton Trade Fair, in October chalked up $3.02bn (€1.9bn) worth of overseas sales. The fair is held twice a year.

The Canton Trade Fair is a barometer of export orders from China in the coming months and the 103rd edition of the event took place from 15 through 20 April in the southern Chinese province of Guangzhou.
