SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPCC) plans to shut down its 1.2 m tonne/year No 3 naphtha cracker at Mailiao for 45 days of scheduled maintenance around mid-September, a company source said on Wednesday.
No turnarounds were planned this year for its No 1 and No 2 crackers, which can produce 700,000 tonnes/year and 900,000 tonnes/year of ethylene respectively, the source added.
All three crackers at Mailiao were currently running at 100% operating rate, the source said.
