LONDON (ICIS news)--Jørgen Ole Haslestad will take over as Yara’s CEO when Thorleif Enger retires in September, the fertilizer producer said on Monday.
Haslestad, 57, will join Yara from Siemens, where he is CEO of the $12bn turnover industry solutions division. He has been on the Yara board since 2004.
Enger ran Norsk Hydro’s Agri division from 1999 and saw the business through a successful initial public offering (IPO) in 2004 and the creation of Yara.
He will continue in his role as president of the International Fertilizer Association (IFA), Yara said.
