Weekly retail diesel prices drop 3.3% - EIA

HOUSTON (ICIS news)--The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Monday that average national retail diesel prices have dropped 3.3% since the previous week on the back of declining crude oil futures prices.

At $4.207/gal, the national average price has tumbled 11.7% since 14 July, when the nation’s diesel was selling at an all-time record high of $4.764/gal.

In regional pricing, the average Gulf Coast retail price was $4.156, down by 14.3 cents from $4.299 in the week earlier.

On the eastern seaboard, the average retail diesel price was at $4.263/gal, down 15.7 cents from $4.420/gal last Monday.
