HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Meteorologists expect Tropical Storm Hanna to take a turn southwest early next week and head towards Cuba, they said on Friday.

Hanna's presence comes at a time when Tropical Storm Gustav is causing market jitters.

As of 10:00 Houston time (15:00 GMT), Hanna was about 215 miles (345km) north of the northern Leeward islands, according to the National Hurricane Center. Hanna could reach the Bahamas by Wednesday, the centre said.

Hanna has maximum wind speeds of about 50 miles/hour, the centre said. It could become a hurricane by Saturday.
