China's New Century builds $439m Zhenjiang petchems plants

SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--Jiangsu New Century Salt Chemical Company has started building its (CNY)3bn ($439m) petrochemical facilities at Zhenjiang city in Jiangsu, eastern China, a company source said on Friday.
These include a 300,000 tonne/year caustic soda plant and a 500,000 tonne/year fine chemicals plant. Construction would take five years to complete, the source said.
The plants would be located at the Zhenjiang International Chemical Industry Park based on an agreement signed in April this year, he said.
