Italy’s OLT Toscana set to receive LNG floating unit

The floating storage and regasification unit for OLT Offshore LNG Toscana import terminal should have arrived in Livorno, Italy, on Wednesday afternoon, a spokeswoman said earlier in the day.

The unit stopped off in the Malta on its way from Dubai to finalise some installation and testing (see ESGM 20 June, 2013)

The terminal will have a regasification capacity of 3.75 billion cubic meters/year. It should be commercially operative in the last quarter of 2013, according to the company. This will occur after a phase of testing. The open season for regasification capacity will start on 1 April, according to the company's website.
