ICIS News : 7-Jan-13 16:01
LONDON (ICIS)--Borealis’ cracker in Stenungsund, Sweden, is ramping up following an outage over the holiday period, sources said on Monday.
Exact details of the outage were not available but one downstream buyer said proylene availability had been impacted, but oxo-alcohols production is in the process of being brought back online.
Borealis' 350,000 tonne/year low density polyethylene (LDPE) plant will be brought online by the end of the week, a source at the Austria-based producer said.
The Stenungsund cracker has a nameplate capacity of 625,000 tonnes/year, according to ICIS plants and projects.
