China LLDPE futures dip 0.24% on lower transaction volume

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) futures decreased by 0.24% on Friday, in line with the dip in transaction volumes at the market, industry sources said.
May 2013 LLDPE futures, the most actively traded contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE), closed at yuan (CNY) 10,370/tonne ($1,665/tonne), down by CNY25/tonne from Thursday’s settlement price of CNY10,395/tonne.
Around 1.77m tonnes of LLDPE or 708,432 contracts for delivery in May 2013 were traded on Friday, down by 5.5% from 6 December, according to the DCE data.
