ICIS news and Borealis have developed this service to ensure that quick and accurate results can be achieved.

Search results
When searching, the results will return any matching documents from the last 60 days. To view older articles, click on the ‘Search Archive >>’  button which will then return results over the past 12 months. All relevant results will automatically appear in date order.

How to make a full text search
It is possible to do a full text search for any word. The search function is not caps sensitive and will search on e.g. both Borstar, BORSTAR and Borstar.

Ethylene

The easiest search is achieved by typing a single word and then clicking on the 'Search >>' button.

Ethylene OR Propylene

To retrieve articles containing multiple keywords, type OR between each word and click on the 'Search >>' button, e.g. ‘Ethylene OR Propylene’ will retrieve all articles with the words Ethylene or Propylene contained within.

Poly*

To broaden your search slightly use a wild-card (*) at the end of a word, e.g. ‘Poly*’ will retrieve articles that mention polypropylene and polymer and polyethylene.

Ethylene Propylene China  

To retrieve articles containing multiple keywords leave a space between each keyword and click on the 'Search >>' button, e.g.  ‘Ethylene propylene China’ will retrieve all articles with Ethylene and Propylene and China contained within.

Ethylene NOT propylene

To exclude words in the same news article please use NOT between each word, then click on the 'Search >>' button, e.g. ‘Ethylene NOT Propylene’ will retrieve articles that mention Ethylene but not Propylene.

"Plant expansions"

To retrieve articles containing exact phrases place multiple words in quotation marks, then click on the 'Search >>' button, e.g. "plant expansions" will retrieve articles containing that EXACT phrase.

Ethylene NOT propylene and "plant expansion"

This search string will retrieve articles containing ethylene and the phrase "plant expansion" but will exclude any articles containing propylene in the same text.

Other combinations of search terms

Any combination of the search terms AND, OR, NOT, * and “xxx” can be utilised to refine your searches further.
