XanTec bioanalytics GmbH is an SME based in Muenster / Germany with ten years experience in surface derivatisation using bioinert and biofunctional nanocoatings. The companys core activities are the manufacture of SPR or other biosensor chips, and production of coated slides for protein and DNA microarrays. The biochip coatings are available on microscope slides, biosensor chips or MALDI targets. Other materials including glasses, metals and plastic can be coated as well. Another application of the biocompatible nanocoatings is the surface derivatisation of biomedical devices. The hydrogel layers not only exhibit a very good haemo- and tissue compatibility but can also be used as immobilisation matrix for biological effector molecules such as growth or adhesion factors.
