Adeka | Company Information from ICIS

 

Adeka is primarily a Japanese producer of chemical and food products such as inorganic, organic and oil and fat intermediate products, semiconductor materials, plastic additives and oleo chemicals. Its products are used in various industries including textiles, pulp, automobiles, plastics and detergents.

 

Adeka will focus on its new medium-term business plan to maximise corporate value and to progress as a “born again” company under its changed business name. The company will concentrate on economic efficiency, social awareness and environmental preservation while two key themes include “substantial growth" and "further increase of profitability".

 

In May 2006, the company name was changed from Asahi Denka to Adeka Corporation and its headquarters were moved to a new building in Higashioku, Arakawa-ku, Tokyo, Japan. In financial year to March 2009, Adeka had consolidated sales of Yen176bn and employed 1,500 people.
