Chevron Phillips Chemical (CPChem), a petrochemical joint venture owned by Chevron and ConocoPhillips, is a producers of olefins and polyolefins as well as supplying aromatics, alpha olefins, styrenics and specialty chemicals. Its product offerings are divided into three business units: Olefins and Polyolefins, Aromatics and Styrenics, and Specialty Products. 
The company’s strategy is focusing on the basics; running safely and reliably, continually improving its cost structure, and realising organic growth in feedstock-advantaged areas. CPChem is strategically expanding its presence around the globe with projects in development for Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the US.
Chevron Phillips Chemical, headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas, US, had sales of approximately $13bn in 2008 and has around 5,000 employees.

Company Structure
Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC, parent company of CPChem, is a producers of olefins and polyolefins as well as supplying aromatics, alpha olefins, styrenics and specialty chemicals. On 1 July 2000, Phillips (now ConocoPhillips) and Chevron (now ChevronTexaco) completed a 50/50 joint venture combining their worldwide chemicals businesses.
